Medieval Day 3
You walk in as your character towards castle. The large wooden door drops down and you stand in the massive archway entrance looking into your castle. In front of you lies a long rack of objects (tools, weapons, etc.). Choose an object and tell me what you feel when you hold the object?

Well id pick up a scroll. A big long one with lots of words, idk why but i imagine it being an instruction manual of some sorta... maybe explaining whats on the wall or just full of information in general. I feel relaxed, calm, and "guided" by the information and intend to use whatever i learn from it in the appropriate way, weather that be using it to pick a tool or weapon of some sort off the wall or following some instructions for a quest it sends me on, i cant just pick something without first getting some insight into what im choosing lol sooooo yay scroll! =)

this is a hard one...
ReplyDeletei would chose the gun (can we have pistols? or is that not very midieval-ish?) i pick the gun up in my hand, and focus on the power i now carry. i am uneasy, a little squeamish. i want to put it back, but know that i need it for whatever reason. the rule of not holding the gun unless you are prepared to shoot comes to mind, but i keep holding it.

the first thing that comes to mind is a pickaxe. But since we all know why I'd pick that, I'll try to come up with something else...
ReplyDeleteso what would a blue ox entering a medieval castle pick up? in honor of Clue, let's say a candlestick. I pick it up, not knowing what I'll use it for. It's not a very reliable tool - either as a source of light or as a murder weapon. So i'm feeling unprepared.

ReplyDeleteI see a rack filled with bottles of wine. (I wonder why!) they're a bit dusty and look untouched, except for one of them thats upright on the floor.
When I pick up the bottle I feel a little sense of joy/nostalgia but I'm concerned as to why this one's separated from the rest. I feel like its a trap and that theres something waiting for me...it makes me nervous but I feel like it can't be that bad..not like i'll be attacked or anything.
I would have a little hatchet. It's pretty light, with a normal wood handle and iron blade. The sheath is made of leather and and engraved with my name and crest.
